Concert in Malmö tonight 10th August

Ralsgård & Tullberg Trio (feat. Leo Svensson) is playing tonight at Far i Hatten! Gig starts at 7 pm, free entrance!

Självklart gör vi ett skivsläpp av nya skivan även i Skåne! Detta sker på Far i Hatten i Malmö på söndag 10: augusti klockan 19!
Då gästas vi av Leo Svensson Sander på Cello som även medverkar på skivan!

Swedish Flute on Tradition for Tomorrow (IS)

Markus Tullberg will be giving a presentation on the wooden flute music of Sweden at the Icelandic conference Tradition for Torrow (Akureyri University, 20-23 of August).

The first review of the new CD arrived from UNT (Uppsala Nya Tidning). Ulf Gustavsson writes:

Traversflöjtduon Markus Tullberg och Andreas Ralsgård blandar egenkomponerat och traditionellt gods på sin nya cd ”+1”. Samt en del udda inslag som en polonäs av Leopold Mozart i förening med en svensk polska. Man njuter av dynamiken, den luftiga lätta rytmiken och tillvaratagandet av instrumentens möjligheter i duons spel som blir till en gemensam klangkropp t ex i ”Vispolska” efter Lisa Bolling.

Eng: The wooden flute duo Markus Tullberg and Andreas Ralsgård mixes original compositions and traditional material on their new CD "+1". They also include some odd stuff as a composition of Leopold Mozart together with a Swedish Polska. I enjoy the dynamics, the light rhythm, and the possibilities of the instruments that make them come together in one, united sound as in "Vispolska" after Lisa Bolling.

Flute class of 2014!

The flute workshop at Skurup Folkhögskola is over for now. This was the third year that a crowd of flute players gathered in Skurup to learn more about flute playing in Swedish traditional music with Andreas Ralsgård and Markus Tullberg (Ralsgård & Tullberg).

The new CD is out now!

Ralsgård & Tullberg released their new CD, +1, at Ransäterstämman in June. It features collaborations with several guest musicians such as; Niklas Roswall (Nyckelharpa), Anna Roussel (Wooden Flute), Göran Månsson (Subcontrabass recorder), Bengt Almfjord (Harpsichord), and Leo Sander (Cello). Degeberga 14 juni

Ralsgård & Tullberg kommer att göra en konsert i en av stugorna i Degeberga i samband med spelmansstämman. Lördag 14/6 kl 15.

Ralsgård & Tullberg will do a concert at Degebergastämman on saturday 15th june.

Traversträff II

Kap Syd organized a second wooden flute meeting in Malmö Monday 19th of May. As special guest this time we had Jean-Michel Veillon talking about the wooden flute in Breton music, which was established as a natural part of that genre very much through his own effort.
This event was made possible through Kulturrådet (which is sponsoring the work of Ralsgård & Tullberg) and through Statens Musikverk (which was supporting the tour of Nos Honks and Duo Veillon / Le Bigot)

Flute Workshop in Sweden July 7-11

There will be a flute workshop in Skurup, Sweden from monday 7th until friday 11th! We will work with different aspects of traditional flute playing such as articulations, phrasing, rhythm, and tunes. All flute players welcome!

New Recording on the way

Ralsgård & Tullberg have been recording material for an upcoming release. The CD will feature the two flute players and several highly interesting guest musicians. The CD is due to be released early summer under the Kap Syd label.
